Euro-Med: Israel Continues Forcible Displacement of Palestinians in West Bank

DayofPal– For the 25th consecutive day, Israeli forces have continued their large-scale invasion of Jenin and its refugee camp, leaving a trail of destruction, displacement, and despair.

According to the Jenin Refugee Camp Media Committee, the relentless Israeli assault has resulted in the killing of 25 Palestinians and the forced displacement of more than 20,000 residents, more than 90% of Jenin camp’s population.

The ongoing military operation has decimated Jenin’s infrastructure, with over 470 homes and structures either partially or completely destroyed. Essential services, including healthcare and education, have been paralyzed, while the city suffers from a total blackout—no electricity, no water, and a critical shortage of food.

Israeli forces have bolstered their presence with military reinforcements and bulldozers positioned at the camp’s entrances and surrounding areas.

Fuel tankers were recently spotted near the Al-Rayan building close to the camp, while drones continue to hover overhead, dropping bombs in the early morning hours on key locations within the camp.

The humanitarian crisis deepens as Israeli forces block water access to four major hospitals in Jenin, depriving 35% of the city’s population of clean water. With medical services crippled and supplies running low, the situation grows increasingly dire for residents trapped in the besieged city.

Arrests have surged, with over 120 Palestinians detained, while dozens more have been subjected to brutal field interrogations. In addition, Israeli forces have conducted 153 home raids and 14 airstrikes, causing massive damage to both civilian neighborhoods and infrastructure.

Violent attacks against civilians continue unchecked. Two Palestinians were beaten at the Al-Jalama military checkpoint north of Jenin, while an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle in the city’s eastern neighborhood. Reports indicate no casualties from the strike.

In a chilling escalation, Israeli authorities have issued a 72-hour demolition notice to the family of slain Palestinians Hammam and Al-Harith Hashash. Parts of their home were already destroyed and set on fire last July when Israeli forces assassinated them inside.

The Jenin Refugee Camp Media Committee has called on the international community, human rights organizations, and humanitarian agencies to intervene immediately, urging an end to the atrocities and the provision of basic necessities for the displaced and besieged residents.

Despite the relentless aggression, the people of Jenin remain defiant. “This assault will not break the will of Jenin’s people,” the committee declared.

“Jenin and its refugee camp will continue to stand as symbols of resistance and resilience against the Israeli occupation.”
