DaysofPal- For the 15th consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have intensified their military operation in the Jenin and Tulkarem refugee camps in the occupied West Bank, leaving widespread destruction and forced displacement.
The ongoing assault has further deteriorated living conditions, with infrastructure and homes systematically targeted.
On Tuesday, Israeli forces converted civilian homes in various neighborhoods of Jenin and Tulkarem into military barracks, as the offensive in these areas entered its ninth consecutive day.
Local sources confirmed that additional Israeli infantry units were deployed across the city’s neighborhoods, forcibly evacuating residents and taking control of their homes.
Meanwhile, Tulkarem camp remains under a tight Israeli siege, with military reinforcements pouring into the area. Soldiers continue to raid homes, ransack their contents, and expel residents.
Israeli drones reportedly dropped bombs on Palestinian homes in the Talat al-Ghabz neighborhood of Jenin, while armed clashes erupted between Palestinian resistance fighters and occupation forces along the city’s military street.
Further reinforcements were sent to Jenin camp, where Israeli troops launched raids from the main entrance near the government hospital, escalating tensions in the area.
Clashes erupted between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces in Far’a refugee camp in Tubas, as Israeli troops continued their incursions into the area.
The assault extended to the town of Tamoun, south of Tubas, where soldiers raided homes, forcibly displaced residents, and turned civilian properties into military barracks and interrogation centers.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces stormed the town of Rummana, west of Jenin, deploying infantry squads throughout its streets and neighborhoods.
For over two weeks, Jenin and its surrounding towns and villages have faced relentless Israeli military operations.
The ongoing aggression, now in its 15th day, has resulted in 26 Palestinian deaths, along with dozens of injuries and arrests. Israeli forces have also demolished more than 100 homes, severely damaging infrastructure and displacing hundreds of thousands.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has issued a dire warning about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Jenin camp.
Juliette Touma, Director of Communications and Public Information at UNRWA, stated during a UN press conference in Geneva that “the situation in Jenin camp is heading towards a catastrophic direction.”
Touma confirmed that, according to UNRWA reports, “all the camp’s residents have left it by this morning.”
She further explained that the agency’s services inside the camp had been disrupted for several months and were completely halted in early December.
The latest wave of Israeli bombings, she added, led to the destruction or severe damage of at least 100 homes.
The humanitarian situation in the northern West Bank continues to deteriorate as Israeli forces escalate their military operations, leaving entire communities devastated and displaced.
