DaysofPal: Israel has barred on Wednesday UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres from entering Israel.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz declared that the decision came over Antonio Guterres’s failure to “unequivocally condemn” Iran’s missile attack on Israel.
Shortly after Iran’s attack, Guterres condemned the escalation of violence in the region, but made no mention of Iran.
“Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran’s heinous attack on Israel does not deserve to step foot on Israeli soil,” said Katz in a statement.
“This is an anti-Israel Secretary-General who lends support to terrorists, rapists, and murderers.”
Earlier Tuesday, Iran has launched a missile attack on different parts of Israel as sirens are being heard on Tuesday evening.
Israeli Hebrew media said that more than 200 missiles were launched into Israel from Iran.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said the missile attack under way on Israel is in response to the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah last week, as well as that of the Hamas leader Ismail Haneyya earlier this year.
