Israeli occupation forces sealed on Friday the main entrance to the town of Beit Ummar, to the north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to witnesses.
Israeli occupation army shut down the entrance to the town with a metal gate, forcing Palestinians to use longer routes to enter or exit the village.
Human rights groups have long condemned Israel for imposing restrictions on the movement of Palestinians in the West Bank, describing the restrictions as a main tool which Israel uses to enforce its regime of occupation and control over the Palestinian population.
"In addition to the permanent restrictions in place, the military also employs travel restrictions in order to collectively punish villages, and sometimes entire regions, following instances of throwing stones or Molotov cocktails at roads," says Israeli human rights group B'Tselem.
