In a recent statement, Hamas has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of placing significant obstacles in the way of a potential ceasefire agreement. The group asserts that while it is demonstrating “flexibility and positivity” in its attempts to negotiate peace, Netanyahu’s actions are impeding the process.
Hamas further said that Netanyahu of escalating Israeli aggression against Palestinians, specifically pointing to the continued forcible displacement of families in Gaza. The group has called on mediators and the international community to intervene, urging them to halt what they describe as Netanyahu’s “crimes … and the genocide.”
Despite the challenges, Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to “resistance” against the Israeli “fascist forces.”
