Two separate Israeli attacks on Gaza City killed at least 43 Palestinians on Saturday, according to Gaza government’s media office and the Civil Defence.
The media office said that a strike on seven buildings in the Shati refugee camp killed at least 24 Palestinians, while the Civil Defence said they recovered 19 bodies following a strike on the city’s Tuffah neighbourhood.
Gaza’s health ministry said that 101 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 37,551 people killed in the enclave since 7 October. Additionally, 85,911 people have been wounded since the war began.
The spokesperson for Civil Defense in Gaza told Al Jazeera thay ambulance crews are unable to reach the areas targeted by Israeli bombardment, having difficulty reaching the victims of the Israeli airstrikes in the Al-Shati refugee camp.
“The capabilities of Civil Defense do not match the scale of destruction in the Strip,” the spokesperson added.
Last night, at least 25 Palestinians were killed, 50 wounded in an Israeli strike in Mawasi, western Rafah.
