After the occupation cut off all internet and means of communication in Gaza on Friday 28th October, Palestinians have been using police and private cars to transfer the injured and wounded to the hospitals after a long, violent night of heavy air strikes and bombing.
As the Israeli occupation completely disconnected and isolated Gaza from the outside world, these communications outages have greatly affected patients’ access to emergency health services, the Palestinian Red Crescent have said. They added that the medical supplies that have been obtained are a drop in the ocean of Gaza’s hospitals’ needs. Hospitals continue to operate with great difficulty with fuel being cut off and aid supplies being prevented.
Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital spokesman, earlier this week, had called on citizens to bring the injured in civilian vehicles when the Israeli occupation bombing occurs.
Almost 8,000 palestinians have been killed since the start of the aggression and over 20,000 have been left injured and wounded from persistent, violent bombardment by Israeli forces.
