1,524 children killed in Gaza Strip, Palestine.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Thursday October 19th, that the death toll on children from the Israeli war that has been ongoing since October 7 and has risen to more than 1,524 dead and 3,983 injured.
The recent tragic bombing of Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza alone has resulted in the death of more than 1,300 Palestinians which included mostly women and children.
More than 100 children have been killed every day since Israel started bombing the besieged Gaza. “We are witnessing a genocide in real time,” a spokesperson for The Defense for Children International – Palestine (DCIP) said.
Children and families in Gaza have practically run out of food, water, electricity, medicine and safe access to hospitals, following days of hostilities and cuts to all supply routes.
The UN has called for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access are the top priorities to allow much needed aid to children and families in Gaza. They have stated that “ Children in Gaza need lifesaving support and every minute counts.”
