Rising Israeli Violence Claims Lives of 21 Palestinians in September 2023

Throughout September, the Israeli occupation forces committed a series of crimes that resulted in the tragic loss of 21 Palestinian lives in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the count of martyrs falling to the bullets of Israeli occupation forces since the beginning of 2023 has tragically soared to 256 martyrs.

This heart-wrenching toll encompasses 208 martyrs from the West Bank and Jerusalem, 4 from the 1948-occupied territories, and 44 from Gaza.

The distribution of these tragic losses throughout the year is as follows: 36 martyrs in January, 31 in February, 27 in March, 12 in April, 56 in May, 24 in June, 28 in July, 22 in August, and 20 until September 28.

West Bank Raids

Abdulrahim Fayek Ghannam, 36 years old, succumbed to critical injuries inflicted by Israeli occupation forces during their incursion into Aqraba town in the occupied West Bank city of Tubas on September 1, 2023.

On September 5, 2023, Muhammad Zbeidat, 17 years old, was killed by Israeli forces for allegedly carrying out a shooting operation in the Palestinian Jordan Valley.

Ayed Sameh Abu Harb, 21 years old, fell victim to the Israeli occupation forces’ bullets during their incursion into the Nour Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarm on September 5, 2023.

The teenager Milad Al-Raee,16 years old, was murdered by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the Al-Arroub refugee camp north of Hebron on September 9, 2023.

Citizen Ahmad Rabah Fawaqa, from Ramallah, succumbed to injuries he sustained 20 years ago during the Second Al-Aqsa Intifada. He was pronounced dead on September 9, 2023.

The young man Dargham Al-Akhras, 19 years old, was martyred during the Israeli occupation forces’ incursion into the Uqba Jaber camp in Jericho on September 20, 2023.

The young man Asid Abu Ali Jaabawi, 21 years old, was martyred after being shot in the head during the Israeli occupation’s aggression in Tulkarem on September 24, 2023.

The young man Abdulrahman Abu Daghish, 32 years old, was shot in the head and killed during the Israeli occupation’s aggression in Tulkarem on September 24, 2023.

Jenin

On September 20, 2023, Israeli occupation forces opened fire on a Palestinian vehicle and killed three passengers. They were identified as Mahmoud Al-Saadi, 23, Mahmoud Ararawi, 24, and Raafat Khmaisah, 22.

In addition, young man Atta Yasser Atta Musa (29 years old) succumbed to multiple injuries sustained during the Israeli occupation’s aggression on the Jenin camp on September 20, 2023.

On September 22, 2023, Israeli occupation forces carried out a military raid in occupied Jenin, killing the young man Abdullah Al-Hasan, 18, in the village of Kafr Dan.

Gaza Protests

On September 13, 2023, an expulsion occurred near the Gaza fence while dozens were protesting against the Israeli blockade as well as the violations against Palestinian prisoners and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Five Palestinians were killed as a result. They were identified as Baraa Al-Zard, Adelnasser Nofal, Muhammed Qaddum, Raed Ramadan, and Ali Jumaa Ayyad.

Meanwhile, the young man Youssef Ridwan, 25 years old, was killed during the Israeli occupation forces’ crackdown on popular demonstrations on the eastern border of Khan Younis on September 19, 2023.

The United Nations has said 2023 is the deadliest year for Palestinians since it started counting fatalities in 2006.
