Since the beginning of 2023, Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 5,200 Palestinians, including 500 detainees in Jenin and its refugee camp.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club stated that the highest rate of arrests was recorded in April 2023, with over 900 cases reported during that period.
Regarding the highest arrest rate in Jenin, it was noted in July 2023, when Israeli forces carried out mass arrests during their incursion into the city and its camp. The total number of arrests during this operation reached 151 Palestinians.

The statement pointed out that Israeli forces have been employing all forms of weaponry and systematic torture tactics against detainees and their families.
Furthermore, they have documented extrajudicial killings that occurred during arrest operations, along with an increasing number of injuries resulting from live ammunition fired during these arrest campaigns.
Israeli forces continue to escalate their arrest campaigns against Palestinian civilians, in the context of rising violence and provocations targeting the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club emphasized that the most targeted groups are the families of prisoners and martyrs.

The Israeli occupation continues to implement the collective punishment crime against them, which today stands as one of the most heinous violations systematically committed by the Israeli occupation on a large scale.
The total number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails stands at 5,200, including 37 female prisoners and 170 children.
There are also 1,264 administrative detainees, including 20 children and four female detainees: Raghad Al-Fanni, Samaah Awad, Hanan Al-Barghouti, and Fatima Abu Shalhoub.
