The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that the Israeli prison service held punitive trials for the Palestinian prisoners in section 3 of the Negev jail and imposed exorbitant financial penalties on them.
According to PPS, the Negev jailers also confiscated all the personal belongings of the prisoners in the cells of section 3 as well as kitchenware and other vital needs, decided to prevent them from seeing lawyers and families for a month, isolated them, deprived them of receiving any medical care, and cut off electricity to their cells for long hours.
Later, the Negev jail administration on Wednesday decided to return only blankets and mattresses to the cells in section 3 after confiscating them.
