Israeli occupation bulldozers uprooted on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, 20 olive trees and razed Palestinian agricultural lands in the town of Kafr ad-Dik, west of Salfit.

Local sources reported that the Israeli forces uprooted around 20 olive trees aged between 4 to 6 years, and razed dozens of dunams of land to construct a new settlement road that is 400 meters long and 8 meters wide, in the area known as ‘Deiriyah’ to the west of the town.

Settlement expansion is widely considered illegal under international law. This perspective is supported by various international bodies and legal frameworks, including the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, and the Fourth Geneva Convention.
