Friday, June 30, 2023, marked the fiftieth anniversary of the Israeli occupation forces and Zionist gangs committing a massacre that claimed the lives of 23 unarmed Palestinian civilians in the Rafah governorate, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Back on June 30, 1967, the Rafah refugee camp witnessed a massacre when the Israeli occupation forces stormed the camp and shot 23 Palestinian civilians, killing them all, and leaving their bodies in the streets for several days with the intention of terrorizing Palestinian citizens.
Later, the bodies of Palestinian martyrs were buried in a mass grave, which became directly linked to the memory of the 1967 Naksa events.
June 5th marks the 56th anniversary of the Naksa or “Setback” in English, which marked the completion of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem, the Golan Heights from Syria, and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt.
