Israeli far-right wing finance minister Bezalel Smotrich denied the very existence of the Palestinian people during a speech in Paris on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
“There is no such thing as Palestinians because there is no such thing as a Palestinian people,” said Smotrich addressing the Religious Zionist Party.
Smotrich also claimed that the Palestinian nation is ‘an invention of past 100 years, which was met by cheers and applause.
It is not the first time for Smotrich, known for his racism and extremism, to deliver hate speech against the Palestinian people.
Earlier in March, Smotrich called for wiping the Nablus town of Huwara. It came after Israeli settlers wreaked havoc on the town, killing Palestinian man and burning dozens of homes and properties.
With sovereignty as its main motto, the Israeli new government is trying to destroy the Palestinians’ dreams of a free Palestinian, completely disregarding their human rights.
