The deputy commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades Marwan Issa warned against changing the status quo in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
In a statement published by Al–Aqsa TV, a Gaza-based channel, the leader of Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military wing, Marwan Issa warned that ‘ any change to the status quo in Al-Aqsa could turn the area into an earthquake.’
Issa affirmed that the Israeli occupation had abolished Oslo Accords, expecting that the upcoming days might be eventful.
These statements came following the Israeli settlers’ calls for mass raids in Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan, marked on March 23rd.
Hamas movement has repeatedly expressed anger and condemnation of the Israeli plans to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque spatially and temporally.
