Israeli Colonizers attacked Wednesday, March 8, 2023, a Palestinian house in Hebron, in the southern Occupied West Bank, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
A video published by a Palestinian activist documented that a number of extremist Israeli settlers threw stones and bottles at the house and destroyed furniture in its yard.
The video shows a number of Israeli soldiers observing the scene without interfering.
The Israeli occupation army did not comment on the presence of its soldiers in the area without interference.
However, the left-wing Israeli organization “Breaking the Silence” commented on the video in a tweet, “The tradition of Purim in Hebron: settlers attack Palestinians, and soldiers at the site allow the attack.”
The United States, the European Union, and many Arab, Islamic, and international countries condemned the violence of Israeli settlers against the Palestinians and called for an end to it.
On Wednesday, the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Winnisland, said, “I am deeply disturbed by the continuing violence and appalled by the Israeli settlers’ attacks against Palestinians two days ago in Huwara, near Nablus.”
“Israel, as the occupying power, must ensure the protection of the civilian population and hold perpetrators accountable,” he added.
The northern and southern areas of the occupied West Bank are among the most targeted by extremist Israeli settlers.
