Colonial Israeli settlers embarked Sunday, December 11, 2022 on bulldozing Palestinian-owned lands and building sheep barns in the northeast and in the south of the occupied West Bank.
In Tubas, northeast of the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers bulldozed Palestinian-owned lands in Khirbet Muafya village, located in the Jordan Valley region, and sat up barns to shelter their sheep, said Aref Daraghmeh, a local Palestinian activist.
Aref expressed his fears that the recent actions by Israeli settlers could be only the beginning of a new Israeli settlement outpost in the area at the expense of Palestinian land.
Meantime, Israeli settlers proceeded to bulldoze a Palestinian-owned land near the town of as-Samu, to the south of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
Rateb Jabour, a local Palestinian official, said that Israeli occupation forces assaulted local Palestinian residents who tried to stop the bulldozing process by the Israeli settlers.
