Israeli occupation forces compelled Thursday, September 8, 2022 the Palestinian citizen, Essam Sharaf to Self-demolish his own house in Silwan neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem under the plea of unpermitted construction.
As part of a strategy to limit Palestinian expansion in occupied Jerusalem, the Israeli government routinely demolishes Palestinian homes or compels them to do so.
Meanwhile, Israeli municipality illegally builds thousands of housing units and settlements over Palestinian lands for its Israeli settlers inorder to increase the population in favour of the settler population.
Additionally, because of Israel’s construction of the apartheid wall, Palestinians are unable to access services in the West Bank.
They are also subjected to discrimination on daily basis in all walks of life, including housing, work, and services.
