Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli occupation authorities have demolished Palestinian primary school in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
Sources said that the Israeli occupation destroyed Abul-Niwwar Primary School in Jerusalem’s neighbourhood of Abul-Niwwar.
The Islamic-Christian Commission in Support of Jerusalem and the Holy Sites said that the Israeli occupation destroyed the Palestinian primary school in East Jerusalem to obstruct education process of the Palestinian children.
In addition, it said that this is part of the Israeli plan to dominate the all of the holy city.
Secretary General of the Commission Hanna Issa said that the Israeli occupation demolishes the Palestinian facilities in the occupied Jerusalem and West Bank in order to force the Palestinians out and replace them with illegal Israeli Jewish settlers and to build more settlements, roads and military posts.
Recently, Israel has increased demolition of Palestinian properties in Area C, which is under its administrative and security control in or to keep this area free of Palestinians in case it reached a final agreement with the Palestinians.
According to a statement issued by the Commission, the Israeli occupation demolishes the Palestinian facilities, including homes and schools under the pretext of having no building licenses. The Commission said this is opposed by article 53 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Issa pointed out that the successive Israeli governments used several pretexts to displace the Palestinians in Jerusalem in order to give a bigger chance for the Israeli Jewish settlers to settler in, turning the holy city into a Jewish compound.
The Commission said that the Israeli demolition campaigns against the Palestinians and their properties have been increasing day by day, calling for putting an end for such “oppressive violations.”
Issa said that the Israeli occupation has destroyed more than 20,000 Palestinian facilities, most of them were homes, since the start of the occupation in 1948.
