Israeli occupation forces, on Monday, August 7, demolished two Palestinian houses owned by families of the prisoners Sobhi Sabihat and Asaad Al-Rifai after breaking into Rumana town, northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
Palestinian sources reported that Sabahi and Al-Rifai’s houses were leveled to the ground after the occupation forces broke into the town of Rummana in the early hours of Monday morning. Meanwhile, Israeli snipers were deployed on the roofs of the citizens’ buildings.
Thus, the Israeli occupation forces displaced at least 14 people from both families. Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas canisters at Palestinians in the town, injuring dozens.
The two prisoners, Sbeihat and Al-Rifai, were arrested three months for allegedly killing 3 Israeli settlers in the Elad settlement built on Palestinian land.
This came hours after a ceasefire was declared in Gaza over three days of Israeli attacks against the besieged Strip. The Israeli aggression resulted in massive destruction, damaging at least 650 residential units across Gaza.
44 Palestinians, including 15 children and 4 women, were massacred due to the Israeli violent attacks. In addition, 311 others were injured following the 3-day-aggression.
