The Mohaja Al-Quds Foundation reported this evening, Thursday, that the Israeli occupation has reneged on its pledges to end the administrative detention of the sick prisoner Khalil Awawda.
In a statement, the Foundation confirmed that the Israeli occupation had issued an order to renew the administrative detention of prisoner Awawda for a period of 4 months, despite the seriousness of his health condition.
The family of the sick prisoner, Khalil Awawda, announced yesterday evening, Wednesday, that the Israeli occupation authorities will release him next Sunday, after the medical staff report, which clarified the seriousness of his health condition.
Palestinian Administrative Prisoner in Israeli Occupation Jail Suspends Hunger Strike After 111 Days
It is noteworthy that the hunger striker, Khalil Awawda, suspended his open hunger strike, which lasted for 111 days, on Tuesday, after the occupation authorities acquiesced to his demands.
In turn, the Prisoner’s Club said: “The detainee Khalil Awawda suspended his open hunger strike, which lasted for 111 days, in refusal of his administrative detention, after promises and pledges from the occupation to end his detention.”
The Prisoner’s Club stated that Awawda had reached a dangerous and unprecedented stage of health, as he was in the “Asaf Harofeh” hospital, and that the symptoms appearing on him indicated that great health risks afflicted his body.
