Israeli occupation authorities detains about 690 Palestinians from the occupied Palestinian territory, including 76 children and 19 women during the month of May 2022.
It is the second-highest rate of arrests since the beginning of this year, after April which recorded 1,228 arrests.
The highest rate of arrests during May was in Jerusalem, amounting to 401 cases, including 58 children and minors, and 16 women.
Also, the number of administrative detention orders issued by the Israeli occupation in May reached 160.
The number of Palestinian prisoners in the occupation’s jails amounted to about 4,700 prisoners, until the end of May 2022, including 32 female prisoners, 170 children and minors, and 640 administrative prisoners.
