Hamas said that the Israeli occupation’s demolition of a Palestinian residential building, owned by the Rujbi family, in the town of Silwan occupied Jerusalem is another evidence of the systematic force that reflects its sadistic nature, racism, and terror against the Palestinian people and their lands and holy sites.
Hamas said in a statement that “This move is an attempt by the Israeli occupation to empty Jerusalem of its indigenous Palestinian population and implement its schemes to Judaise the holy city while taking advantage of the silence and inability of the international community, which bears historical and legal responsibility for its inaction.”
“We stress that razing this residential building and forcing more than 40 Palestinian Jerusalemites out of their homes and property is a crime against humanity, for which the Israeli occupation holds full responsibility,” it added.
Also, it affirmed that this fierce Israeli campaign targeting the Palestinian lands and Muslim and Christian holy sites will not succeed in changing the identity of Jerusalem’s historical landmark.
“The Palestinian people will not allow the Israeli occupation and Israeli settlers to pass their settler-colonial schemes at any cost,” it concluded.
