Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Escorted by the Israeli occupation police, extremist Israeli settlers stormed on Monday morning the Sanctuary Yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The settlers led by the extremist settler leader Rabbi Yahuda Glick broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque through Al-Magharbeh Gate. Witnesses said that they were protected by the Israeli occupation police.
“Fifteen settlers, accompanied with Glick, entered and desecrated the Yards of the Mosque,” Activist Anas Ghanayem said. “They wandered around and performed Talmudic rituals,” he added.
Earlier to the settlers’ entrance into the Mosque, Israeli police prevented all Palestinian men under 50 and all women from entering into the Mosque.
Ghanayem said that was a sign that the “Israeli police had officially arranged for the settlers’ entrance under heavy protection.”
Israeli occupation has recently trying to reinforce a fact that Al-Aqsa Mosque is divided between Muslim and Jews based on time and place. Palestinians always try to undermine any attempt leading to this end, but the Israeli police and sometime the army undermine their efforts.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is the this holiest place for about 2billion Muslims around the world. Any aggression on it is considered a violation for international laws and conventions, which guaranteed the protection of religious places.
