Hebron – 16 December 2021 (DAYS OF PALESTINE)

Freed Palestinian prisoner, Nabil Rajoub, suffers from severe psychological disorders after his release from solitary confinement in Israeli jails.

The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Prisoners Affairs considered that what the freed prisoner, Nabil Rajoub, 21, from the village of al-Kom, south of Hebron, was subjected to, is a crime and a violation of human rights and a witness to the medical neglect policy.

“The Israeli occupation forces threw Rajoub on the ground, at the Al-Dhahirah military checkpoint in an inhumane manner, without caringfor his health and his bad psychological condition. He was transferred to Hebron Governmental Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.” The commission said.

Israel arrested Nabil Rajoub about 8 months ago without any charge, then he was transferred to administrative detention.

According to rights organizations,Israel detained 402 Palestinians, including 66 minors and three women, during November 2021.

The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Commission, the Palestinian Prisoner Society, Addameer, Human Rights Association and Wadi Hilweh Information Center – Jerusalem, said in their monthly report that the highest number of detainees during November were from East Jerusalem and reached 160 Palestinians, including 54 minors.

They also said that Israel issued 123 administrative detention orders against Palestinians in November, including 39 new orders and 84 renewals of existing orders.

The four Palestinian rights organizations said that by the end of November, Israel is incarcerating 4550 Palestinians, including 32 women, 170 minors, and some 500 are held in administrative detention without charge or trial.
