Tens of thousands of Palestinian Muslim worshipers performed Friday prayers at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the Israeli restrictions imposed on the entry to Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, on Friday, June 17.
The Department of Islamic Endowments in the occupied Jerusalem said in a statement today that 50 thousand worshipers performed the Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation police imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers arriving at Al-Aqsa Mosque, took their identity cards and examined them. Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces searched women’s bags.
Yesterday, Jerusalemite youths called on Palestinians to mobilize to pray at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in solidarity with Palestinians expelled from Al-Aqsa.
