Israeli occupation forces issued demolition orders for three Palestinian homes and ordered the construction halt in 14 other ones located west of Jericho on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Reports from Palestinian media sources indicated that Israeli forces invaded the village of al-Duyuk al-Taht and handed out demolition notices to three longstanding residential houses.
Sources also pointed out that Israeli forces have instructed a halt to construction in several other buildings under the pretext of building without permits.
These new orders have brought the total count of Palestinian homes threatened with demolition in the village of al-Duyuk al-Taht to 50.
Earlier today, Israeli forces raided Palestinian homes in the Arab al-Maliha area, situated along the Ma’arajat road northwest of Jericho, where they physically assaulted a young girl.
Systematic Plan
The village of al-Duyuk al-Taht has been systematically targeted by Israeli forces, with frequent demolition actions in the area.
These demolitions are part of Israel’s strategy to expand settlements into Palestinian homes and lands, a move that has escalated in recent months.
Israeli forces have already demolished 15 homes in the region over the past two months, displacing numerous Palestinian families and intensifying tensions in the area.
Furthermore, Israeli settlers, backed and shielded by Israeli forces, are actively seeking to appropriate additional Palestinian lands.
They establish new settlement outposts and engage in the falsification of property documents, with a particular focus on areas rich in vital water resources and historical significance.
