DaysofPal- The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip has released a statement detailing the widespread violations of a ceasefire agreement by Israeli occupation forces during April 2026, pointing to mounting casualties and severe humanitarian disruptions.
The statement said that 377 violations were recorded during the month. 111 Palestinians were killed and 376 others were injured as a result of these incidents. Such actions constitute direct defiance of international humanitarian law and undermine global efforts to restore calm or provide safety for civilians.
The report also highlights major gaps in humanitarian aid delivery. Only 4,503 aid trucks reportedly entered Gaza in April, far below the 18,000 trucks outlined in the agreement. This represents a compliance rate of roughly 25 percent. Officials say this reflects a systematic restriction on aid flows and a denial of basic necessities to the civilian population.
Fuel deliveries saw an even sharper shortfall. Just 187 fuel trucks were allowed into the territory, compared to 1,500 specified in the agreement. This equals a compliance rate of about 12 percent. Authorities warn that the shortage has deepened the humanitarian crisis and directly affected essential services, particularly healthcare, water supply, and electricity.
Movement restrictions also remained in place. Only 1,567 people were able to travel in and out of Gaza, compared to 6,000 permitted under the agreement. Officials say these limitations have obstructed access for patients, students, and individuals with urgent humanitarian needs.
The Government Media Office emphasized that these combined indicators prove a policy of deliberate procrastination and a failure to implement the terms of the ceasefire. The statement accuses Israeli occupation forces of delaying and selectively applying the agreement, contributing to continued deterioration in humanitarian conditions.
The statement concludes with a series of demands directed at the international community. It calls for full and non-selective enforcement of all provisions of the agreement, rapid entry of humanitarian aid and fuel without restrictions, and the regular opening of crossings to ensure civilian movement. It also urges mediators and international actors to take meaningful steps to halt violations and guarantee protection for civilians.
The report places responsibility on Israel for the worsening situation and calls for urgent international action to prevent further deterioration in the Gaza Strip.
