DaysofPal- At least 44 Palestinian civilians were killed and dozens wounded on Saturday as Israeli airstrikes and ground operations continued across the Gaza Strip, marking the 722nd day of the Israeli genocidal war against the people of the Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for aid near the “Netzarim Corridor” in central Gaza, killing one person and injuring several others.
In the central refugee camp of Nuseirat, nine people from the al-Jamal family were killed when Israeli warplanes struck their home.
Another three people died in a strike on the Abu Ruqab family house in the nearby al-Thi’abeen area of al-Zawaida.
Further north, six members of the Bakr family were killed in an air raid on their home in Beach Camp, west of Gaza City.
Civil defense teams also recovered five bodies from the rubble of the al-Shurafa family home in Gaza City’s al-Hajar Street. However, rescuers said 13 more people remain trapped beneath the debris.
The Israeli occupation forces also detonated booby-trapped armored vehicles in Tel al-Hawa, southwest of Gaza City, and in the al-Tunub area in northern Gaza, destroying several residential structures.
The Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza reported receiving 26 bodies in the past 24 hours, including seven children and two women, along with 63 wounded. Many of the victims, the hospital said, were targeted near gathering points for humanitarian aid distribution south of Wadi Gaza.
The latest casualties add to the mounting toll in the enclave, where relentless Israeli bombardments and siege conditions have left much of the population displaced, facing acute shortages of food, medicine, and shelter.
