An Algerian delegation headed by the Algerian president Abdelmadjid Tebboune withdrew from the United Climate Change Conference known as COP27 on Thursday, November 10.
Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Algerian President, along with an Algerian delegation, has withdrawn from the COP27 once the Israeli prime minister started his speech.
The Algerian position was widely welcomed by social media activists all over Algeria and the Arab countries as it was seen as an act of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Sami Abu Zuhri, a spokesman of the Hamas movement, welcomed earlier Friday the Algerian withdrawal which ‘reflects the authenticity of the Algerian attitude towards the Palestinian cause.’
