198 Palestinian and international institutes demanded the International Criminal Court (ICC) to probe Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people following the Israeli escalating violence and murders.
The institutes addressed via a memorandum Karim Khan, the ICC’s prosecutor, and Silvia Fernandez de Gourmandi, the ICC’s president of the Assembly of States Parties.
The memorandum called for wide condemnation over Israel’s” decision to designate Palestinian civil society organizations as “terrorist.”
In addition, the organizations called for the ICC to take responsibility to stop the Israel apartheid practices practiced against Palestinians and to hold Israel accountable.
Earlier in October, Israeli occupation forces broke into and closed six NGO and human rights organizations in occupied Palestine, calling them ‘terrorists’.
“The designation of the leading Palestinian civil society organizations is the latest in an orchestrated
campaign of repression against the organizations”, the memorandum read.
The organizations concluded the memorandum by calling on ICC to take appropriate action to investigate Israel’s crimes, including the crimes committed during the August 2022 offensive in Gaza.
