Tens of Israeli settlers, protected by Israeli occupation forces, invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque via its Al-Maghariba gate on Sunday morning, January 16.
The Palestinian Department of Islamic Endowment in occupied Jerusalem reported that scores of Israeli extremist settlers carried out provocative tours at the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It added that Israeli settlers provocatively performed Talmudic rituals under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces.
Earlier Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces deployed heavily in Al-Aqsa’s courtyards and its surroundings to pave a way for the settlers’ incursions
On a daily basis, Israeli settlers carry out incursions into the blessed Mosque and provocatively perform Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation authorities impose suffocating restrictions on the Palestinians’ entry to Al-Aqsa Mosque, regularly banning worshippers from entering the holy Mosque.
On the other hand, the Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem continue their calls to mobilize at Al-Aqsa to confront the Israeli incursions, which increased with the beginning of the Netanyahu government.
With the start of the new Israeli government, Israeli settlers, ordered by Itamar Ben-Gvir, have escalated their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
Ben-Gvir’s recent raid in Al-Aqsa, the first carried out by an Israeli minister since 2017, triggered wide condemnation from Palestinian, Arab, and International parties and governments.
