DaysofPal – The Israeli occupation army bombed the walls of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, on Sunday, marking the 14th consecutive attack on the facility since the war began nearly 23 months ago.
According to the Government Media Office, Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced people inside the hospital compound, near the outpatient clinic. The bombing caused injuries and material damage and posed an immediate threat to dozens of patients and staff inside.
“This criminal attack reflects a deliberate policy of targeting healthcare infrastructure and civilians, in flagrant violation of international law,” the Media Office said, condemning the assault as part of Israel’s ongoing “war of extermination” against the Palestinian people.
It held Israel, along with the US and other complicit states, fully responsible for systematic crimes that amount to war crimes and genocide.
The office urged the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take urgent action to stop Israel’s repeated strikes on hospitals and to provide international protection for medical staff and patients in Gaza.
The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that in the past 24 hours, hospitals received 88 bodies and 421 injured people, with many more victims still trapped under rubble and in areas unreachable by emergency crews.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s assault on Gaza has killed 63,459 Palestinians and injured 160,256, according to the ministry. Following the resumption of Israel’s offensive on March 18, 2025, after a short truce, 11,328 people have been killed and 48,215 injured.
The ministry also highlighted the ongoing targeting of aid seekers, stating that 30 people were killed and 166 wounded in the last 24 hours alone while trying to access humanitarian relief. In total, Israel’s attacks on aid convoys and distribution sites have killed 2,248 Palestinians and injured more than 16,600 since the war began.
