DaysofPal- The World Food Program (WFP) warned on Tuesday that the Gaza Strip is now in urgent need of large-scale food assistance amid the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe.
In its statement, the WFP emphasized that humanitarian efforts in Gaza must continue to advance, saving lives, rather than retreat.
The agency emphasized the urgent need to expand food aid immediately to ensure people will not face starvation.
“The people of Gaza need large-scale food assistance now,” the statement read, emphasizing that restoring regular and reliable food supplies is essential to prevent further suffering.
The WFP also called for safe and unhindered humanitarian access to allow for the organized distribution of food aid throughout the Gaza Strip without delay.
Moreover, Governmental Media offices in Gaza noted previously that thousands of food trucks are stuck at the crossing and prevented by the Israeli occupation, while over 2 million people in Gaza are suffering suffocating famine.
