West Bank: Settlers attack Palestinian homes, cars

DaysofPal- Israeli settlers have carried out a series of attacks across the West Bank over the past 24 hours, involving raids, property destruction, and assaults on Palestinian residents, according to local reports.

In the northern Jordan Valley, settlers performed religious rituals after taking control of the Hammamat al-Malih area. Other groups entered agricultural land between the villages of al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah near Ramallah. Additional settlers spread through the Ras al-Ain area in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, where residents reported confrontations.

Settlers attacked residents in the village of al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, setting fire to a home, two tents, and three vehicles. Similar incidents were reported in other areas, including the destruction of crops and assaults on farmland south of Jenin. Armed settlers also entered Khirbet Masoud, damaging land and threatening residents.

Near the settlement of Tersala, built on land belonging to the town of Sanur, one settler reportedly threatened residents, warning that they would be expelled and treated in the same way as people in Gaza. In Tubas, settlers gathered near residential areas in the village of Tayasir, causing fear among local communities.

In another incident, settlers uprooted more than 500 olive trees, each estimated to be over 30 years old, in farmland near Turmus Ayya, also in the Ramallah area.

Violence intensified early Monday when settlers attacked two towns south of Nablus, injuring at least 10 Palestinians. During the attack, settlers set fire to around 11 vehicles and two homes. Local officials reported that the hospital treated two of the injured.

Yaqub Oweis, head of the village council in al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, said a group of settlers targeted a nearby Bedouin community, assaulting residents and attempting to steal livestock. In a separate attack on Qusra, settlers burned a vehicle before clashes broke out with local residents, who forced them to withdraw.

Since October 2023, more than 1,140 Palestinians have been killed in the territory, with nearly 11,750 injured and around 22,000 detained, according to Palestinian sources.
