Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) expressed in a press statement released today in a comment on the recent attack on Rafah refugee camp, south of the strip on a heavily populated area without any prior warning. The statement described it as a Rafah massacre and a new war crime amid international complicity and silence
“PLC condemns the silence and international complicity over the heinous crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against children, women, and innocents in the besieged Gaza Strip,” the statement read.
It followed, “The Rafah massacre is a new war crime that requires the immediate formation of a UN investigation committee, and the bringing of the occupation leaders to trial. The crimes of the Israeli occupation reflect the terrorism of the Israeli occupation and its criminal mentality, which kills children and Jews of holy sites and bombs homes on the heads of their residents.”
“PLC calls on the international community to stop the policy of double standards and to assume its responsibilities towards halting the terrorism of the Israeli occupation, its flagrant violation of international laws, and to work to support the rights of the Palestinian people and their legitimate resistance,” the statement concluded.
