And the commission indicated in a statement, on Sunday, July 31, that the prisoner Safran has been in solitary confinement for nearly nine months, as he has been transferred between several prisons and detention centers. There are no new solutions to end his isolation, in addition to his suffering from freezing his “Cantina” account.
She explained that the decision to seize the cantina money belonging to the prisoner Safran, came under the pretext that the prisoner owes the Israeli occupying state with accumulated sums of money. This all comes in addition to the fact that the Israeli occupation authorities refuse to allow his family to put a sum of money in his account so that he can live inside the prison. in a deliberate attempt of starving the prisoner Safran and humiliating him.
And the authority added that the prisoner, as a result of the decision to seize the cantina’s money and put him in isolation, decided to go on an open hunger strike in protest against what he suffered, “but he suspended him after several days after a deterioration in his health, as he lost a lot of weight and began to suffer from acute kidney infections and other problems. blood and urine.”
The commission expressed that Safran urgently needs the amount of “cantina” so that he can live in dignity inside the prison and buy essential things such as detergents and food, especially since the meals provided by the prison administration are raw meals. Recently he has complained about the appearance of blisters on his skin because he does not have soap for showering.
It is noteworthy that the prisoner Safran has been detained since October 19, 2017, after he carried out an operation to run over soldiers near the “Rishon LeZion” area inside the occupied territories, and he was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
