The Israeli occupation forces detained a woman from the village of Tora, southwest of Jenin, for more than three hours, at the Barta’a military checkpoint, This evening, Monday, August 1st
Saeda Muhammad Qabha told Wafa that the occupation forces, stationed at the military checkpoint, arrested her and her two children while they were on their way to Barta’a town. She added the occupation authorities took her to interrogation, detained her for several hours before releasing her, and prevented her from entering Barta’a.
She pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces detained her and her two children in inhumane conditions, in a small room, indicating that this is the third time in a row that they prevented her from entering Barta’a.
On a similar note, the Israeli occupation forces arrested Jerusalem governor, Adnan Ghaith from his home in Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Monday morning, and extended his detention until tomorrow, Tuesday.
Governor Ghaith is subjected to a campaign of persecution, arrest, and prevention of participation in meetings or meeting Palestinian pronon characters.
In addition the Israeli occupation prevents him from traveling or leaving the occupied Jerusalem, as he was arrested by the occupation forces more than 17 times since he assumed his position as governor of the holy city, as well as prevented him from entering the West Bank, under the pretext of his communication with the Palestinian leadership.
