The Torah-based Temple Mount Group called on its extremist followers to commence their Hebrew year by collectively and publicly performing the morning prayer at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
This call is part of the group’s four-year campaign to impose communal Torah rituals within the confines of Al-Aqsa, to transform it into a “shared holy site” through practice.
They view this as a prelude to the physical establishment of the Temple within the entirety of the Al-Aqsa compound
The Group issued an announcement declaring that the Al-Aqsa Mosque would be accessible to Israeli settlers during the morning hours from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, as well as in the afternoon from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
Mass Raids
Earlier on Sunday, nearly 238 Israeli settlers invaded the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed provocative rituals inside.
The so-called Temple groups had called on their followers through social media to carry out collective incursions and perform Talmudic rituals and Torah ceremonies at Al-Aqsa during the Jewish holiday period, which lasts until the first week of October.
The Islamic Waqf Department reported that Israeli occupation forces evacuated the Al-Aqsa Mosque of worshipers to secure the incursions of settlers.
Several videos shared on social media platforms showed Israeli occupation forces dragging Palestinian youths and forcing them to leave Al-Aqsa.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque faces daily incursions and violations by settlers, backed by Israeli occupation forces, in an attempt to assert full control over the mosque and divide it both temporally and spatially.
