DyaofPal—At least six Palestinians, including an elderly woman, were killed and several others injured on Monday following a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip.
The deadliest incident occurred near the Al-Shafi’i Mosque in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood southern Gaza City, where Israeli warplanes reportedly targeted a group of civilians.
Among those killed was Abdullah Ezzat Al-Asmi, who was due to be married in two days. Two other young men, Ahmad Oweida and Hussein Al-Malah, were also confirmed among the victims.
Casualties from the strike were transported to the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital for treatment. Medical officials described several of the injured as being in critical condition.
Later in the day, an elderly woman was shot and killed in Beit Lahia in the northern part of the territory. In a separate incident, a 10-year-old boy sustained severe injuries after being shot east of the Al-Bureij Refugee Camp.
Witnesses and local sources reported additional casualties linked to Israeli drone fire, including from quadcopter drones, in multiple areas such as Nuseirat and Al-Bureij.
A woman was reportedly killed after a drone opened fire on residential homes in Nuseirat, while another man, identified as Ibrahim Al-Khalidi, was killed in a separate drone strike near Abu Madin Mosque in Al-Bureij camp.
Further injuries were reported across the enclave, including a young man shot in the neck near Beit Lahia and a woman critically wounded when gunfire penetrated her tent in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood western Gaza.
On Sunday, eight people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Mawasi Khan Younis, while a child was shot dead on Salah Al-Din Street in the same city.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 704 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, with over 1,000 injured.
Since the outbreak of war in October 2023, the total death toll has risen to more than 72,000, with over 172,000 reported injuries.
