A significant number of Palestinian worshipers gathered on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem to observe the Al-Fajr prayers, expressing their commitment to safeguard the holy site from Israeli occupation infractions.
The “Great Fajr” campaign, initiated in 2020, aims to pray at the revered locations in response to Israeli violations and attempts to Judaize the sacred sites.
Every Friday, thousands of Palestinians come to Al-Aqsa mosque, the world’s third-holiest site for Muslims, to recite the Holy Quran and perform both dawn and Friday prayers.
Palestinian officials have called for constant prayers at Al-Aqsa mosque to counter aggressive Israeli actions against the sacred place.
