The preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the head of the Supreme Islamic Council in Jerusalem, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, said that the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood will remain the torch of resistance in Palestine.
Sabri stressed that the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood will remain the torch of resistance due to its geographical and historical dimensions and its location in the heart of occupied Jerusalem.
He noted that the plans of the occupation in Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan and all neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem are part of the aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Sheikh Sabri denounced the position of the Palestinian Authority and its leadership towards Jerusalem, describing it as “politically paralyzed.”
It should be noted that dozens of families in the Jerusalem neighborhoods are facing the threat of forced displacement from their homes in favor of settlement projects.
