DaysofPal – Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians south of Nablus and east of Jerusalem on Saturday night, injuring several of them while Israeli occupation forces carried out raids and arrests throughout the occupied West Bank.
In occupied East Jerusalem, a number of residents and two foreign solidarity activists were wounded after settlers attacked the Bedouin community of Khallat al-Sadr near the town of Mikhmas, northeast of the city. During the assault, several homes were set ablaze, and two vehicles were burned.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported that dozens of settlers carried out a large-scale attack on the community, resulting in multiple injuries and the burning of eight homes and two vehicles. Local sources said settlers stormed the area while firing live ammunition before assaulting residents and destroying property.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its medical teams treated two Palestinian residents and two foreign activists injured in the attack and transferred them to the hospital.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, the Khallat al-Sadr community faces daily harassment and repeated attacks by settlers as part of sustained pressure aimed at forcibly displacing residents to make way for settlement projects on their land.
South of Nablus, local sources reported that settlers from the “Rehelim” settlement attacked Palestinian homes in the village of Yatma, targeting areas close to the settlement. Several residents were assaulted with pepper spray. The injured were identified as Bashar Sanobar, Mohammad Naeem Sanobar, and his son Naeem. Israeli forces later intervened, protecting the attackers.
In the central and northern West Bank, Israeli occupation forces also conducted several arrests and incursions. In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, two young men, Mahmoud Jihad Dar Saleh (30) and Mohammad Riyad Dar Saleh (30), were arrested from the village of Aboud, northwest of Ramallah, after soldiers raided a commercial shop during an incursion.
Israeli forces also entered the village of Deir Ammar, west of Ramallah, without reporting arrests. In a related development, troops stormed the villages of al-Mughayyir and Kafr Malik northeast of Ramallah, deploying heavily in the streets and firing live ammunition and tear gas, according to Amin Abu Alia, head of the al-Mughayyir village council. No injuries or arrests were reported.
In the same governorate, Israeli forces arrested a young man from the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, whose identity remains unknown, and confiscated his vehicle, according to local sources.
In the northern West Bank, an undercover Israeli force arrested Fadi Jaaroun after raiding his home in the Shuwayka suburb north of Tulkarm.
In the south, Israeli forces stormed the Khallat al-Louza area southeast of Bethlehem, raiding several neighborhoods and setting up military checkpoints at the entrances, severely restricting residents’ movement. The incursion is part of ongoing measures in the area, which include repeated closures and tight travel restrictions, alongside settler attacks on agricultural land.
Khallat al-Louza has been subjected to frequent settler assaults, including land invasions, tree cutting, and preventing farmers from accessing their fields, in attempts to seize the land for nearby settlements.
Israeli forces and settlers attacked Palestinians and their property in the West Bank 23,827 times in the last year, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission of the Palestinian Authority. Of these, 18,384 were carried out by the Israeli army, 4,723 by settlers, and 720 were joint attacks.
