The clashes erupted when Palestinian residents of the village tried to stop a provocative pro-settlement march by Israeli settlers towards the Israeli settlement of Homesh, Ghassan Daghlas, in charge of the occupation file in the West Bank.
Over the last few days, Israeli settlers protected by army attacked and attempted to raid homes of Palestinian citizens at the outskirts of the village of Burqa, which is close to the route leading to the evacuated settlement of Homesh.
