Resistance Commission to Apartheid and Settlements Blesses the General Strike in Bethlehem

The Director-General of Popular Action in the Commission for Resistance of the Wall and Settlement, Abdullah Abu Rahma, blessed the general strike in the cities of Bethlehem, Beit Jala, Beit Sahour and the neighboring villages and camps, to mourn the martyrdom of Ghada Sabateen from Husan village and Muhammad Ghoneim from the town of Al-Khader.

He said that the Palestinian people always take the lead in humanitarian initiatives, to deliver the message of the continuation of the resistance against the Israeli occupation.
Abu Rahma added that this stand against the crimes of the Israeli occupation is not new to the Palestinian people, but rather since the first intifada as a form of steadfastness and resistance.

He noted the steadfastness of the people of Jenin camp since 1936, and the many revolutions that the Palestinian people have resisted, through the Palestinian uprisings, and ending with the current events.

Abu Rahma believes that Palestinian strength and survival is represented in unity, which makes all Palestinian villages and cities resist the Israeli occupation with one body, as is happening now in the resistance and response against the storming of Jenin.

He stated that large numbers of citizens are preparing in the coming period to go by buses to Jenin to buy from its markets, in support of the national economy and strengthening popular resistance.
Abu Rahma called for boycotting Israeli products and supporting the national product to weaken the Israeli economy and break the thorn of the occupation.
He stated that the national campaign called for years to boycott Israeli products internationally, and there was double standards, as is currently happening in light of the Russian military operation on Ukraine.

According to Abu Rahma, “We are facing difficult days, especially as the Israeli occupation forces intensify executions and arrests, in addition to settlers’ attacks on Palestinians. Therefore, the Palestinian people must unite and unite in resistance to confront and deter these attacks.”

He pointed out that the Israeli occupation government gave the green light to the violations of the army and settlers against the Palestinian people.
Abu Rahma concluded his speech, “The Palestinian people’s confrontations with settlers’ attacks are an activation of popular resistance and a deterrent to the crimes of the Israeli occupation in occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank.”
