Days of Palestine – Gaza
Israeli occupation warplanes attacked Tuesday night at a site belonging to the Palestinian Resistance, our correspondent documented and reported.
The Israeli occupation warplanes immediately left the Gaza Sky after the attack, local sources confirmed.
Meanwhile, Hebrew media affirmed that the “Israeli Air Force” was forced to leave the Gaza Strip, after firing a missile aimed at its aircraft.
In a statement published by the Military wing of the Hamas Movement in the besieged Gaza Strip, Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades said that at 1:35 a.m. today, its air defenses confronted the hostile Zionist warplanes over the Gaza Strip with surface-to-air missiles.
Occupation media said in reports that during the attack on the Gaza Strip, a “Strela” missile was fired at an aircraft in the skies.
Hazem Qasim, the Hamas spokesman, said in a statement that resistance, which is the natural right of the Palestinian people, continues with the Israeli occupation in Jerusalem, Gaza, the West Bank, and the occupied territories.
“The Zionist bombing of some empty sites is a failed attempt to prevent our Palestinian people from defending the city of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” he stated.
Qasim praised the Palestinian resistance saying that all salutes to the resistance men who resisted the warplanes with surface-to-air missiles.
“Our people and their valiant resistance will continue to defend our rights and sanctities until the occupier is expelled from all of our Palestinian lands,” He confirmed.
The right of Palestinians to resist their occupation is enshrined in international and customary law.
Article 1 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), which was ratified by Israel in 1966, states that “all peoples have the right to self-determination.” It elaborates on the right to “freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development”.
Torture, beatings, and abuse are the Israeli occupation’s violations against the Jerusalemites during the holy month of Ramadan. Hundreds of Jerusalemites, including children, were subjected to torture and beatings with batons, rifle butts, hands, and feet during arrest operations.
