Pro-Palestinian activists in Madrid protested Tuesday, 17 January 2023 against Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s ban on raising the Palestinian flag in public places.
Tens of Palestine supporters took part in a vigil to show their solidarity with the Palestinain people following the far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir’s decision to ban raising the Palestinain flag in Public places.
The Participants raised the Palestinian flags and chanted in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their struggle against the unjust Israeli occupation.
Earlier this month, Israel’s national security minister ordered police to ban Palestinian flags from public places in the latest crackdown by the Far-right Israeli new government.
Itamar Ben-Gvir’s order follows a series of other punitive steps against the Palestinians since taking office late last month.
“Today I directed the Israel police to enforce the prohibition of flying any Palestinian flag that shows identification with a terrorist organization from the public sphere and to stop any incitement against the State of Israel,” Ben-Gvir announced on Twitter.
