The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club raised on Thursday, August 24, 2023, an alarm over the worsening health and psychological condition of Ahmed Manasra, an incarcerated Palestinian, currently held in the “Ayalon” prison facility.
In an official statement, the Prisoners’ Club held the administration of the occupation’s prisons fully responsible for the fate of Ahmed Mennasra. This comes in light of grave concerns circulating about his mental well-being.
Lawyer Khaled Zbarqa affirmed that the legal team continues to exert ongoing efforts regarding Manasra’s case, particularly with regard to his solitary confinement.
It is worth noting that the order for Mennasra’s solitary confinement is set to expire next September.
The case of Manasra underscores the broader challenges facing Palestinian prisoners within Israeli detention. Human rights organizations have repeatedly criticized Israel’s treatment of Palestinian detainees, highlighting issues such as solitary confinement, inadequate medical care, and mistreatment.
