The Palestinian prisoner Khairy Salama (42), from occupied Nablus, entered Saturday, July 15, 2023, his 21st year in the Israeli occupation prisons, since his detention in 2003.
The Palestinian Prisoner Club stated in a press statement that Salama had faced detention since he was a 13-year-old child, as his detention lasted about two years at that period of time.
During his detention years, Salama lost his father and mother and was deprived of bidding the last farewell to them, in addition to illegally demolishing his family’s house.
Salama also faced a harsh and long interrogation, and later the occupation sentenced him to life imprisonment, and he is today imprisoned in Israeli (Jilboa) prison.
Israeli occupation authorities currently hold some 4900 Palestinians in prisons, including 160 children and 31 women.
