The Palestinian prisoner Khalil Awawda, 40 years, from the town of Idna, west of Hebron, who has been on hunger strike for 64 days, is facing a serious health condition, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
The club added in a statement that despite the serious health situation that Awawda has reached, the Israeli occupation continues refused to respond to his request to end his administrative detention.
Awawda suffers from irregular heartbeat and breathing, persistent vomiting, and a sharp decrease in weight, as he lost more than 16 kg.
He is a father of four girls, and the occupation forces kidnapped him on 27/12/2021 and transferred him to administrative detention without any accusation being brought against him.
He was previously kidnapped in the occupation detention centers several times.
Israel’s policy of administrative detention allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.
